I have posted this question before wanted to see if I could get a couple more suggestions. Well the family is heading to Maui for two weeks in March. My father wanted to take everyone (Mom, Dad, my brother, his wife, my wife and me) for a fun family trip now that his cancer is under control again. It has been two years of nice highs and really bad lows.

Now for the question.

I know Kona is not hot in March but the old man wants to take my brother and I on a full day troll to see what happens. My pops has never seen the man in the blue suit in action and would like to give a shot. Does anyone have any info on a good chart in Kona? Any info would be greatly appreciated. The boat needs to have good air because the ol'man can’t be out in the sun and needs to keep himself cool.

Again any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Rob

Out of Kona I would recommend Capt Gene Vanderhoek. Has the record for Kona for the most blues released the last 3 or so years. Good guy and catches fish. Boat is named Sea Genie II. Cell is 808-936-4234. Give him a shout.
Boat is a sweet Rybo

Look up the charters Marlin Magic (http://www.marlinmagic.com) and Sundowner Sportfishing (www.sundownersportfishing.com). I'm not sure what your budget is, but these guys are known as some of the best and I believe that they are also 2 of the 3 captains of the Pelagic pro team from Kona. For some reason the sundowner sportfishing website is not working, but it was earlier. These are two very good charters though
