Miami boat show Feb. 16 .......
I put some time in listening to factory reps. from Garmin and Simrad describe their newly marketed "chirp" sounders as applied to wreck and deep drop (tilefish) fishing. I liked what they said, but through the years I've learned not to plunge into a dry swimming pool. So before slapping 4 g's on the table I'd appreciate to hear any comments from anyone presently using these new sounding machines, pro's and con's....Thanks

Hi Cap.. The Chirp system has been out for about a year in beta testing. This Fall Simrad came out with the BSM2 Module to support the Chirp technology..

Ive seen this unit work first hand and you can see small targets in 800 ft of water..

Deeper possibly but thats the deepest Ive seen it used.

Let me know when your ready to take the Plunge and I can take good care of you..;)
