Cod Trip on the Nice Day Too

Hey Guy's I chartered the nice day too out of New Bedford Mass this Sat for cod. Capt Joe and myself will be putting this trip together. The trip is limited to 20 people max and i will go with 15. I know its far away but the weather looks good as of today. If you want to go please email me at [email protected]

The bite has come on real good this week, we should easily be able to box fish just as shown here.
some are a pretty good size too..

I will keep beating the drum, folks this trip is a no brainer, we will have a decent day Cod jigging. Nothing better than getting that Cod bite on a jig and then coming down with the teaser and stroking a double header of them to reel up.

Enjoy your trip to Korea, we will talk when you get back, I will miss the CR seminar, I will be out of town, - but I am ready to go for AC Cod when you return.

Here is what I copied and pasted from today's trip.

Please make note, the boat we have arranged for is in New Bedford, and we fish right along side the Viking FLeet at Cox's Ledge. Its about a 30 mile run from New Bedford, boat leaves at 4.30 AM Captn Joe

"Local Cod Report Jan 20
Capt Carl reports another excellent day of fishing on the Viking Starship with the boat once again limiting out on quality sized cod. As soon as the sun broke fishing turned red hot, with very few shorts and mainly gaffing sized cod! We picked away all day until all the cooler were full and anglers had their limits. Jim House from Cutchogue NY took todays pool winnings with a 24lbs Viking Cod. Check out the pics right here."

Some nice fish were caught!!!

Ok boys didnt think it would be this hard to fill a cod boat, when the bote is going off, i jsut spoke to the captain and the weather is going to be fine starting off at 15knts and droppign to 10 by noon. The bite up there as you are all aware is good and bigger fish then most of the year, i went up last year and most were market cod this year there seeing bigger fish on average. This trip is a jig and bati trip so those of you who like to bait we will hae clams. So get a friend and jump on we need a few more to make this a go, will be a greta time.Please email me at [email protected]

why go on an open boat which is railed,

60ft catamaran sp, 15 people ~120 per person.

Local Cod Report Jan 21:D
Capt Carl called in at 1pm and he was very happy to report that the Viking Starship produced a lot of cod this morning for the anglers. After getting what he needed, he went looking for less crowded grounds. We will have a full update once he returns.
