I was wandering if anyone had any info for commercial crabbing or where I could find some. thanks in advance.

It is a closed fishery if you are planning to get into it you will have to buy a license off an existing crabber.

From what I understand you cannot at present
buy a commercial Crabbing license from the state , there is a moratorium on them and has been for many years. You cannot by a commercial from another Crabber either, although there has been talk about that happening. The only way you can get a license is from an immediate family member. Like brother to brother or sister to sister. Dad to son. Not brother inlaw to brother inlaw or sister inlaw to sister inlaw.

You will not be able to buy an existing license of a crabber unless you are related to him, as in "immediate family" There is a change proposed in the regulations which would allow you to buy an existing license from a crabber when the number of licenses falls below 312. The change will not happen until 2007.
