Looked shoaled up. Breakers all the way accross. The bars inside of the point on the Strathmere side seem to have grown big time also. I wouldn't know how to navigate it.

IT HAS TO ALWAYS BE RUN BY SITE.BEFORE THEY FIXED BARNAGET INLET IF YOU LOOKED AT THE INLET IN SOME CONDITIONS IT LOOKED IMPASSABLE.AS YOU APPROACHED FROM THE OUTER BOUY IT WOULD START TO REVEAL ITSELF.

My guess it will be passable....at least for most of the tide. The seasons change the shape of our beach fronts... so my guess it will be different by June.

That's a lot of water behind OC and Strathmere trying to get out every day....sooner or later a cut will develop and stay after the winter storms keep filling it in vigorously.

Corson's may never be great but you look at Hereford inlet...left to its own theis past decade and you still can get in and out most tides most days and it's a lot wider to start (more sand to move around and fill in cuts).

I would love to use corsens again. I started using it again a few years ago. Saves me lots of time going south instead of Ge. Last year I ran in corsens and it was a hairy ride. The cut from the year before was gone and I could not seam to find a opening. I ran it at high tide and it broke all the way across. I ran it anyway but did not try it again for the year.

Ran it last year myself as well. Took a couple nice flounder in August drifting the incoming tide with a bottom rig (weight and hook) and squid. Caught them in 8' of clear water just inside the mouth of the inlet.....
Damn, is it spring yet ?!?!?!?

I've been fishing Corsons for 34 years and it usually looks closed off in the winter. It was closed off completely after the hurricane went south of us in 2003. That is the first time I have actually scene it completely closed. Usually by spring, with a few full moon and spring tides, the huge volumes of water in and out cut a channel. I run the inlet night and day in a 30ft outboard boat with no trouble. Save the track and some key points in your plotter and its no problem! Spring and Summer are comin!
