The sailfishing in Golfito has been strong after a short break in the action. We are averaging 15+ plus shots a day with plenty of nice dorado to 50lbs., some nice marlin mixed too. Also, the inshore fishing has been very good and consitant pretty much this whole season. There have been plenty of big roosters caught too!

Traditionally, it is Feb. but the last two years mid March the sails were thick. Last year the end of March was insane. The Banana Bay tourney at the end of March, 12 boats got 352 sails in two days. That's not including marlin which is good then along with dorado, wahoo and tuna! When were you looking to go? This year or next. We have dates in mid march still open and are alos taking bookings for next year already.....

I was at Parrotbay Feb 16 to 21. It was real slow for billfish but did great on Roosters, snappers, grouper, yellowfin. Plenty of fish for dinner. Glad to hear that is has picked up. This was my 5 th year at Parrotbay and it was the slowest for billfish, but I still had a great time. I mentioned to Chad that I had seen your posts on the barn. If you see him, say hi to him from John and Tom

John- They are great people. I was talking to Mary on fri. and usually talk to Chad once every other week. I will be there the end of the month and will past it along.

Feb. this year was a very slow month which is odd because Jan was hot early and it is good again...... go figure! I guess that why it is fishing.

Sport- We are booked this year during the tourney anyway. Reg. client not fishing the tourney. Wish we were fishing it. You can go to www.Bananabaymarina.com I checked they don't have this year or next years dates posted. This year is 3/29-3/30. It is usually the last full weekend in March. We are open for the tourney next year at this point. If your interested. This year it is $500 to enter and I think it is 15 boats. They hand out trophies for top angler and boat and some other stuff. All proceeds go to charity, which is good!:)

Thanks Thumbs Up. I the past we have raise lots of fish but not this year. Helped Chad and Mary pick up A/C unit and a few other thing in Golfito. They should be settled in when you get there.

This is something I would really like to do. Not counting airfare what would lodging and fishing run per person prime time for 2 or 3 guys sharing the boat for 4 or 5 days fishig?

Not looking for exact numbers, just a ballpark.

You can email me at [email protected]

Thank you,

Ted
