I wanna pair a abu garcia blue yonder 7000 reel with a 12 foot bass pro shop ocean master rod. Would this be a good combo for long distance surf casting?

Not sure of the action of the bp ocean master but length and reel seem like a good combo.

Also like Abu's ... even the chinese versions if they work out of the box right!
