One of our rental boats headed out for some crabbing on Friday. Mom and daughter were crabbing while dad was fishing. They caught crabs abd fish mostly small blues and porgys.
When they arrived back at the dock the father smiled and said. Almost had my first keeper striper. On hteir way back in He decided to drift part way. He was fishing with a top and bottom baited with clam. On that one drift he caught and released a 20 and 23 inch striper.
He hit them along a drop off where we chunk with clam in November. I know the water is to warm and there are to many clam stealing little fish around but it sure sounded good.
