any body bin surf fishing in cozomel heard thers no fishing on the east side of island protected area, anybody know any info will help where to or not to

The northwest area of the island is where you can fish. I handlined a little bit with the locals there for a bit last year, couldnt get a knack for the way they zing the bait out though.

You're better off chartering a boat for sailfish, mahi, etc pelagics. I leave march 27th!!

I am not sure of cozumel but I was in cabo twice lasy year, both times I caught fish from the surf inclueding a 25lb trevalle. bring a heavy take down spin rig and some sabikis. catch a live mullet rerig and hold on.
