Crazy Harry's Gas Dock

It's been up for a while. It was up last yr. but Harry was still open. Doesn't look like he plans on openeing this yr. or at least any time soon.

When it was up last year, he wanted a ridiculous amount of money. Since then, hes dropped the price.

He told me Sunday that he'll have gas by today.

I THOUGHT THE PRICE IS DECENT CONSIDERING A NEW BULKHEAD IS NEEDED AND IT NEEDS TO BE DREDGED OR BLOWN OUT.RUMORS ABOUT A NEW OWNER MIGHT HAVE PROBLEMS WITH GETTING APPROVAL ON THE FEUL TANKS.I WOULD THINK A PRIVATE PERSON COULD BUY IT DOZE IT REDUE BULKHEAD AND BUILD A BEAUTY FOR UNDER 3 MILL. WITH ALL KIND OF WATER ROOM FOR A FEW BOATS OF THERE OWN AND GREAT VIEWS.I THINK I'D COME UP A BIG BIT SHORT.1.5 ASK MAYBE 1.3 BUYS??

FUNNY ADD-ME AND THE BAD FINGER SAW HARRY AT THE RIO DINNER.HE GRABBED FINGER AND THEY STARTED TALKING AND I'M THINKING I KNOW THAT VOICE BUT ALL DRESSED AND SLICKED UP BUT NO HAT.I HAD NEVER SEEN HIM WITHOUT A HAT.

He's been on the market for a long time, I'm surprised he's still there this year. He's a real character!

Ran into Harry on Monday at Eastern auto. He's open, was expecting a delivery of "new" Gas on Tues. He told me to let everyone know to make sure their tanks are "water-free" - gas users. Ethanol will blend with water.
Still the cantankerous Harry we all know and love.

I miss seeing Harry -- can't even remember how many years we bought gas from him.

Harry was closed last week end as it was the first time I went past his dock without hearing him blow his whistle at me. He not only is cantakerous but forgets from one week to another that when I go by, both my throttles are back as far as they can go. Maybe he really was there last week and finally swallowed the whistle.

where is this marina at?

Panacea, it is in Wildwood. By water it is on the Southwest side of the Middle Wildwood bridge or Rio Grande Ave bridge. I believe it is called Shawcrest Marina.

Don't let anyone from Shawcrest hear you call it Wildwood. Coming up the ICW from Cape May, it's the first place on your Port side when you hit the "No Wake" at Shawcrest. Just listen for Harry helling at the boats that are making a little to much wake.
