I would like to add one to my arsenal. Can anybody recommend which item/size/color would best work in the S Jersey surf? Also, would it work if I troll with it in my kayak??? Thanks in advance for sharing.

I have used them before for blue fish. Never taken a striper on one, but I am sure they would work. I am not sure I would try trolling a metal lure off the bacK of a kayak. I think it would sink straight down. If you want to troll something off the back of a kayak, try a PT Jude wobble eel in black. My buddy took a 42 incher trolling one from a kayak in RI. Lots of action

Any 2 or 3 oz would work fine. I used them this fall up to 4oz with good results along with a teaser. I think trolling from a yak would also work great.

I got a 3/4 oz for smaller apps and I got a 1.7 oz and a 2.4 oz all in the silver pattern. The hooks are excellent and the action is deadly. Good luck:thumbsup:

yea the deadly dicks always get the blue even when jigging for stripers. i agree with fishhard the 2oz t-hex:thumbsup:. they are great for stripers plain or as a teaser when plugin.

which ever size/model you choose make sure it has green on it whether it be the prism sticker tape on deadly dicks or the tubing on a diamond jig.
