I would not buy a battery ever again from WalMart they do not pro rate.
This is exactly right and I do recommend Deka, but no matter what batt you buy you need to learn how to read the date codes on them. Never buy a batt that is more than 3 month old. Batts sitting on a dealer shelf for 6-8 months without being charged are whipped(sulfated) before you buy them. Take a volt meter with you. Any batt reading less than 12.6 volts leave it there. Here's a pretty good one. There is only a handful of battery manufactures in the US.
Deka is made by East Penn Manufacturing in Lyons Station PA
They have an outlet store at the facility.
