I've never had a problem with the Walmart DC's. They may not be the best but for my money I buy them every 4 years or so.

Great wht, talk to batteries plus on the phone for a location close to you.

I just had to buy (4) 6volt golf cart batteries for a scissor lift. I called interstate and they wanted $180 each. I called a batteries plus and got similar amp hrs batteries for $114 each. Tried a couple other places and they beat the heck out of the others numbers. Saved me $200.

Worth a call.

I just replaced both of my Wal Mart batteries just because I felt ten years was about right. They were still going.

Just bought a group 27 Duracell from Sam's Club. Less than $100 with trade. 1 year full replacement. Sam's is usually good on any returns.

I returned a wal mart battery that was 11 months old. It died because my whole house generator recharge mother board went bad. They gave me a new one for no charge. Sometimes you just need to know how to talk to people.
I would not buy a battery ever again from WalMart they do not pro rate.

There is only a handful of battery manufactures in the US.

Deka is made by East Penn Manufacturing in Lyons Station PA

They have an outlet store at the facility.
Good deals

This is exactly right and I do recommend Deka, but no matter what batt you buy you need to learn how to read the date codes on them. Never buy a batt that is more than 3 month old. Batts sitting on a dealer shelf for 6-8 months without being charged are whipped(sulfated) before you buy them. Take a volt meter with you. Any batt reading less than 12.6 volts leave it there. Here's a pretty good one.

Here's one for Deka.. http://www.dekabatteries.com/assets/base/0004.pdf

I've been buying Interstates from the regional distributor in Egg Harbor Township (saves a little) for about 10 years. Never had complaints about the batteries life and they are priced reasonably.
