After suffering numerous back-to-back seizures, we put my dog Suzy to sleep last night. She's been experiencing seizures since early summer. Vets suspected a brain tumor was the hidden cause.
Sorry to hear Steve. What breed was she? That is not an easy decision to make, but you don't want her in pain or discomfort. Hang in there, she'll still be on-board with you in spirit...
sorry to hear that steve but i have been there and it sucks but to be honest another dog would be the way to make u feel better and u will love the new one just as much.
That is definatley a tough thing to have to do sorry to hear of your loss steve. My dog had a similar fate back in february of last year he started having seizures and we took him to the emergency vet because he couldn't move and we found out he had cancer in his liver kidneys and pancreas. They said he could not be cured and we would have to put him down or take him home to die. We opted to take him home they said he would ahve lasted for a week he lasted 2 weeks. He went out side one morning when I was at school on a snowy day and laid down on the porch and died. It was a tough expierence. The sad part there was nothing we could have done we had spent over $3,000 dollars on him and there was no saving him.
Sorry to here about your lose Steve, I know how you feel. 2009 I put down both of my dogs, Nova went in February and Hanna went the week after thanksgiving.
They are hunting together again!!
SORRY to hear that Steve,I'm a dog lover its tough I put my Cocker to sleep a few years ago,she was in too much pain and lost rear leg function. Tough decision but the right move.
Sorry to hear of your loss, thats the hardest part of the relationship saying goodbye. I'm sure you gave her a great life and as a true friend/companion you did what was in her best interest. She understands and is at peace now.
