Just got back from wetting a line in the back bay of Wildwood. Couldn't believe my eyes but saw a dolphin screwing around back between the trestle bridge and George Redding bridge in no hurry at all.

I was kayaking up Richardsons Channel last summer, Sunday evening, nice and quiet, flat calm, high tide, sun setting. Took a break to float, take a sip of my beer and a drag of my ciggie....Dolphin surfaces two feet from my kayak and blew H2O up about three feet. I almost flipped off my kayak!!

I'm willing to bet that there will be another sighting this afternoon. Right about slack tide.

saw the dolphin last friday (5/13)..in the area of Russ Chatin bridge...it was following the stone/rock barge bringing an empty barge from Hereford inlet..barge briefly ran aground near the commercial boats just before the bridge.....guy on barge said the dolphin follows them all the time...

Was out back of the Crest last Thursday over near a feeder creek hole off the ICW and up pops a head. About 15 yards away there is a harbor seal. Looks right at uS for about 20 seconds and goes back under. About a minute later, he pops up again this time only 10 yards away looking right at us. Stayed up for another 30 seconds then went back under. Never saw one around before. When lifguarding in the Crest in the mid to late 80's, I did see a couple otters in the surf out front but never a seal, especially in the back waters. Anyone else have the pleasure?

Ron I think we have been seeing more and more life in the back bays with dolphin and seals the past few years. My buddy who has the marina said he see's all kinds of stuff.
