Help me out here with your experience. When I'm going thru my reels doing that maintenance thing I read some guides say grease the drag discs on the conventional reals, not on spin gear, others say, both types require grease, while a third group says run them both dry....

what do you do & why?

Whose reel cleaner / lubricant product you like?

Also who's the best stocking dealer for Okuma parts?

thx twofish

I grease my spinning reels drags, and conventional reel drags, all of them, but only a little bit, so little you can barely see any on there, but I do grease them all. I use the grease below for my drags....

Depends on the reel and the drag material. Some are meant to be dry, some are meant to be wet. Alot of spinning reels have drags you shouldn't mess with much like impregnated teflon, cork or oil felt drags.
