Looking to hang a new engine on a new boat. The package comes with an Evinrude e-tec 225 HO (which is suppose to put out 250hp) I have a great price on the engine. However, I am a huge Fan of Yamaha. I have a v-max 150 that runs as good as the day I got it 7 years ago. The Shaft needs to be 25" and Yamaha only makes up to a 200 2 stroke in that length or I can go to a 4 stroke 225 or 250hp (more money). I am getting the feeling that I am in a pay now or pay later scenario? I would appreciate it if the great Bass Barners could please help me sort this out.
