I am stuck in easton and I was wondering if anyone can tell what the fishing is like out here what I can expect. This is my first season here. Any suggestions on where to try or what to try for would be great.

Easton is a fantastic fishery for BIG smallmouth bass. I fished with a local guide there, Blaine Mengel. He was great and we got some beauties on tubes (one over 3lbs and couple around 2). We put in at a ramp just a few miles north of Easton on the Deleware. You will be plesantly surprised at the amount and quality of the smallies there. Smallmouth fishing there is a well kept local secret.

Stretch is right about the shad fishing there. But the smallies are the fish to go after. The upper Deleware is loaded with them! We start to catch them right around Easter & all the way through the summer and into fall. Also you might pick some Walleye up to while fishing for smallies! Good Luck!

I fished there for the first time last fall. The dam where the Lehigh & Delaware meet is an exceptional spot. I caught smallies, walleye & a striper.
It doesnt sound like you're "stuck" at all, fishing wise. You'll probably see me up there again this year.
