Unfortuneatley on my boat about 1-2 inches of the nose of the lower unit still sits in the water when I have the engines tilted all the way up. This means that the "zinc" on the bracket is in the water but the one on the lower unit is not. Since a portion of the lower units is touching the water would it be better to leave the engine down far enough so that the "zinc" just above the prop is in the water? It is not serving any purpose out in the air if some of the lower unit is in the water?

thanks
Bill

Up without question. Mine do it if I'm heavy on fuel and I thinka lot more do. The bracket anode is enough, you really wouldnt want all that growth on your lower and prop
