(CNN) -- The Environmental Protection Agency on Friday approved the U.S. Army's controversial plan to ship the neutralized remnants of the nation's deadliest nerve gas supply to New Jersey and then, after a second clean-up effort, dump the waste water into the Delaware River.
The plan has attracted strong opposition from New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine all the way to local officials in the century-old scenic resort down river at Cape May.

VX gas of all things. It is supposed to be treated to be ok to dump. Well I say lets poor a glassfull of this stuff and make them drink it before they can dump it. If they live then will see.

Instead of dumping the waste in the Delaware river, they should Put it in a crop duster and spray/dump it all over Camden, that way it won't bother the Eco-system.
Cape May County Party and Charter Boat Association has be 0pposed and been writing letters against this for years. It was too toxic to dump in landfills and they want to dump it in Delaware Bay. Makes a lot of sense dumping it in a clean area where fish and shell fish are harvested. Next thing they will be finding traces in shellfish and fish and want to shut it down for health reasons.
I like the idea that they should drink a glass of this stuff or fill their swimming pools with it if it is that safe.

We live in one F-ed up world. Greatest country? I am surely not leaving but sometimes I wonder. ?????
One point to make note, it's gotta get there to be treated from where it is now, you could be driving right along side of it or it could be trailering down thru your neighborhood, BEFORE it is treated. Cross your fingers we never see a truck wreck on 95, like that'll ever happen

Wrote more letters, and will probably get the same form letter response, but worth it to keep trying. If they get enough mail they have to look into it. They hate all that crap building up on their desk. Send a letter or email unless you just don't care.

Sounds like something the White House would aprove of. They send are young men and women to die every day in a foriegn country full of animals that hate Americans. What's a little poison in the river too them !!!

Thanks for posting the links to the reps. You and bucktail Willie are correct, if enough people write they will evaluate there stance on this subject and will be inclined to take action if they think it matters to enough people.
There is a lot of opposition to this plan coming from our elected officials. If they are already against the plan our emails will bolster their resolve to fight.

I wrote a few e-mails.I'd like to move this over to the Dry Dock and get some more attention on this.
