In there quest to get the Evinrude E-TEC down to 9.9hp, Evinrude is ready to ship the 15hp HO.. This is a high performance 15hp. This 15 will really make your little boston whaler fly or any other boat with a 15hp rateing.

It's not a portable motor for carrying to and from a small boat, but it is designed as a trolling motor for larger boats, especially the walleye and mult-species style, off-shore, and the West Coast salmon boats.

Specs are being finalized. It is close to the same size as the 25 but has a different mounting bracket, faster tilt system, adjustable and offset tiller handle, different EMM calibration, small pitch wide blade prop, etc.

Here is a link to a test that was done.

Because the 15 HO is designed as a trolling motor or "kicker." it comes with a low-pitch (sailboat type) prop for moving a large boat.

For those who want to install it on a rig such as a RIB, jon boat, or other small boat then it will have to be re-propped for the correct rpm.
seahorse, come one now you know we water test each boat here no matter how small the repower to set up and prop.
Joe

What is the approx. retail gonna be on these?
Think I saw one of these 15 HO's pushing a 12' inflatable on the river the other day .......... must have been doing 60 mph, throwin' a huge rooster tail !!!

Damn that little engine's strong !!
