This indirectly relates to fishing so I'll post it in this board. I have a 25 HP Johnson outboard that is about 4 years old. The bottom of the unit is in perfect condition but up around the top of the frame, blisters are starting to form under the paint. When I scratch off the paint, there is white powder underneath. I assume the aluminum is being attacted by electrolis as there appears to be no breaks in the paint. Would it make sense to attach another zinc piece to the top of the unit? Then again maybe this only protect the outside and not from attacts from within? Appreciate anyone's comments -
