We fished the Jersey Shore Classic this weekend out of Avalon on Pirasea, a 31' Fountain CC. Friday was tough with less than ideal conditions with us pulling up short of our desired location. Saturday we made the run to Massey's and had a solid day. We broke TI at 4am for the ride south. We were pulling Reel Seat green machine spreader bars and ballyhoo with various colored seawitches. Around 7:30 or so our first line goes off and we landed a 59" BFT. About two hours later a rod pops and the drag goes, then seconds later a second one. Fought two BFT to the boat, releasing one and gaffing another. This one was 49". Went back and weighed in the two tuna, 117 lbs and 66lbs respectively.

It was a great day on the water with family and good fish. It was a fun tournament with good fishing, food and entertainment, with money being donated a great cause!

Not to be a downer on your great day of fishing, but don't the Jersey Shore Classic regs require you to stay at your dock until 5:30 am ???

And here you are clearing the inlet at 4am............
