Skunk.....Last night from the top of the tide to the bottom. If I wasn't there to see it moving out all night and walked up at 11:30 I would have thought it was high tide! When will the water go out? Not a total skunk, had one 10" bass. Pretty little bugger...

Earlybird and I made it out Saturday morning, threw plastics around some bridges and boated 8 bass 22"-32"...found sea lice on nearly all of them.
We also made it out last night, fished around some bridges. We caught about 20 shorts, probably had 5 times as many hits...they seemed a little tight lipped. Also caught a few spike weakfish. All caught on plastic.

Wow, you guys are scaring me! My 73 year old uncle has never caught a striper and wants to. Normally no pressure here right? Not so! He can only go this coming Monday, and can only fish a few hours. Figure on leaving Whale Creek a couple hours before high tide and fishing through until a couple hours past. Gonna try eels and clams as a back-up. Any and all info as it gets closer to Monday will be gracious excepted and used. Oh the stress, I love it!

Fish magnet, take a trip down to No Bones bait and tackle and see Fred(chunking). Ask him to explain the chunking with clams technique with rigs and how to locate a good spot to set up. Buy some fresh clams while your there and I am sure that you will be able to make your uncle smile in the end!

Went out in the boat last night from 6-10pm in the OC/SP area with Casting Disaster....not much going on....flood tide, semi-cloudy water---noticed a lot of sea shad? feeding at various spots in the ICW and other spots....Seems a little early to see so many large schools of those guys?! Anyway, using artificials (FinS and BassAssasins) we managed only 2 shorts (and they were VERY short), 1 sea shad, and a lone flounder that was about 12" or so....This is the latest in the year I've ever gotten a summer flounder in the back bay!.....hoping things will pick up when the water clears up a little more.....tight lines-------Mike

I finally had the pleasure of taking my Dad on
his first striper trip last night. The weather
was perfect and we even saw the lunar eclipse!

We tried bridge fishing, since that's been the
only productive method lately. After a few
misses, he hooked up with a feisty 24"er :D
Over the next couple of hours we landed about a
dozen bass between 20-25". Hopefully it was
enough to get him hooked. We were using Zooms...

On a side note, I woke up to gunfire this morning
around 4:30-5am. I dismissed it as a dream until
I saw it on the news. Some guys from Camden were
being chased by police and were cornered a half
mile from my house. It ended in a shootout. I
have yet to hear if there were any injuries

Grimreaper, got ahold of Fred at No Bones today. Getting clam bellies this weekend for Monday. He's a great guy. Gave me much info. Told him how great his show is.

Thanks again Grim. Will let you know how we make out on Monday.

I have read about NN BONES repeatedly. Since I like visiting many different B&Ts, could someone let me know where this place is?

Drove up to IBSP late yesterday afternoon with Rockdoc, tried to plug in the diminishing, yet still sizeable, surf...got skunked. Saw what appeared to be a larger blue caught on bait.
An old-timer stopped to talk to me and said if you're throwing anything but clam, you're just pissin' in the wind; apparently there hasn't been much forage around up there.
