Well We Finally Found Some Very Consistent Action

Fatten Up For The Winter, and I was right we
found many Striper's Schooled up running between
27" to 34"'s with most over 30" and Hungry.......

BackBay (ICW) Striper Caught on Black/Purple
BOMBER During A Dark Out-Going Tide....

I had a chance to hang out with some old friends
and do a little fishing...

My Buddy Greg with a 34"Striper,He Ended
Up Catching (6) with a additional one @ 34"'s..

Ronny,with a 27 3/4" Striper for the Table,
He picked up another (5) Bass with some amazing
fights on his light tackle rod

And I Got My Share,,I landed (8)Stripers
with my largest acting like a tarpon jumping
out of the water creating quite a show...

Me and Sicyaker did the ICW behind strathsmere just after 6:00PM. Found the ICW to be like a lake as apposed to the 10 MPH ***d that was forcast. First pass by my favorite sod bank produced a lively 30 incher. Same bank later in the evening put a 33 incher in the yak. Finished the night 3 out of 4. All caught on black bomber. It is amazing how a few stripers can keep you warm on a cold night.

Just got in. I thought with the cold the action would pick up hot & heavy but no. One 24" and lost another which I think was a slot. I may have had another bump but that was it for the night.

Went out this morning for a quick bridge run with
Casting Disaster. We had a steady pick from the
time we got there until we left. Most of the bass
were between 18-23". Last of the incoming...zooms.
We're going to try again tonight along the banks...
Hopefully we'll find some larger ones. Keep warm ;)

I Hit Some CapeMay County Beaches Today,
It started slow but ended fast..............

I managed some Short Stripers off some Big Rocks
on My SchoolBus BOMBER A-Salt during the end of
the Out-Going Tide This Morning....

Beautiful Day, A Little Windy-it was brisk
with Air Temps Colder the the Ocean..But That
Made For Some Very Calm Surf Conitions with
the wind direction as it was making it easy
to read the water.I found some nice holes,
breaks in bars etc...And Also You Good See
The Schools of Peanut Bunkers Under Attack..

Later in the Afternoon, during the In-Coming
Tide I Had about a 2hr window of Minnie Blitz's
with 2-4lb Bluefish popping up in front of me
with gannets dive bombing and Gulls picking up the
scraps.. I was throwing a Little Shorty Hopkins
at the Demon Eyes and had alot of fun...

hit the beach and jetty this morning. nothing doing. super calm conditions. no waves, nice drop right in the surf line, no weed. no fish either, but it was a nice morning. threw black bomber and black wood swimmer plug, and then some yozuris and then an olive over white wood swimmer. nada. maybe this afternoon will be better.

Got out last night around 11pm. Called Earlybird and he said they were into the fish up to 34". I saw you guys coming up the channel on your way in. Was going to stay and say Hi but the wind was blowing more than I thought it would be so I was suiting up. Anyway made my way out back walking the sods and I missed the Bite. It was gone by the time I got there.Damn it. Making sure things are quiet around the house before I go and miss the bite. Oh well, I know I have a trip with the Stalker next week so I will get into them soon. So I pick up and head over to a bridge and launch the yak and get one short for my efforts. Saw some fish busting but could not get them to take everything I offered. Goes that way sometimes. I need to time the outgoing on the next trip. Enjoyed the fresh air and had to change a tire on the way from one spot to another so my evening had a little of everything in it. Got some fresh air and packed it in around 3am and had a safe ride home. Good luck guys, fish are there just have to find the bigger ones. Keith the bagman

I fished the banks last night with my uncle. We
got into a few flurries of nice bass, landing 12
to 33"...only a few shorts. The blk/pur bomber
was all they were interested in. Outgoing tide.

Keith, you beat me to it. Sorry you missed them.
The tide was starting to slack.

It's a good thing he did cause the rangers were out there and they made guys throw back fish at the Sea Isle Lump. They were in a Parker and since I have a Parker I started to think "lets have some fun". I found some guys out in EEZ after I heard a call on radio of "they're everywhere". Well , " everywhere" was tooo far out so I just cruised around and took a look at binocos and checked these guys out. They're eyes never left me , I could almost hear " is he commin ,is he commin,? "being whispered on board.

hahahahhaha SEE YA , throttled the engine , went back to where I belonged, made a mess with big stinky things and had great action for a hour or so. Then met up with Fmtuna, Doyle and seadated at Roberts...great time!!

I almost forgot what the wings are like the day after.....burp

I checked out the banks again last night. Not
too much going on. I tried the bomber for a
while without a strike, so I switched to a white
bass assasin. A few casts later it paid off with
a nice 32" bass. Nothing else, so this time I
changed to a purple mirrolure and was rewarded
again...24". A lot of fun on light tackle!
