Wow, March is here already... I hope everyone had a great winter and I am looking forward to reading some fishing reports again...
Well after a record warm January with water temps holding in the 40's you just knew Old Man Winter was going to show up,and show up he did..
It seems that the coldest nights of the year have just been felt leading up to the opening of the BackBay & Inlet Striper Season tonight at Midnight and water temperatures took a hit because of it.. I could not find any water temps up and down the coast both out front and the backbays that were any higher then the mid-30's. But that being said I am sure a few fish will be active especially as we head into the weekend..
Marine forcast along the shore calls for NW Winds 10-15kts with sea's 2-3ft. Overnight lows will dip just below freezing along the coast. Sunset is at 5:50PM and High Tide at CISP is 8:21PM..Percentage of Moon Visible 0%
So Good Luck To The Bridge Runners Tonight Along Ocean Drive and to the Bait SurfCasters on the Sods of Gr.Pt. Tomorrow...
Can't wait to hear about the first backwater Bass of the season being caught by boat or off land...
*Also I Forgot - NEW SB Regulations -
allows anglers to take two striped bass each day, each equal to or greater than 28 inches.
No More Small Slot or Tweeners.......
