Bass Were Short Striking, and He Lost About (4)
Fish on Bombers. One Was Especially Nice....
Me, I did the Beach Scene the last few days...
Black Flies were biting Hard, and So Were Some
Kingfish on BloodWorms. The Flies also liked my

young lad came walking up to the Jetty in a
WetSuit with Snorkel,Goggles and SPEAR in hand..
He precided to swim the lenght of the jetty, coming
up for air from time to time. Then after circling
the tip he swam back to the beach with a Nice 20"
Tog for his efforts...I always Heard about this
technique but it was the fisrt time that I witnessed it..Pretty Cool, Swim Like The Fishes :D To Catch The Fishes ;)

Doggie days are upon me at least.

Out last night, jigged up two keeper flatties with a plastic spearing. Go figure. A pop here, a pop over there, a stray spike, couple of shorts or a slot but no real heavy action. Oh well.

So far the weakie fishing seems very similar to last year unfortunately. Uh O !!!!

Hit the flounder behind OC. They would not hit a bucktail or rig with a treaser. I put a rod out with only a minnow and strip of shedder oil soaked squid and started catching. Cut the bucktails off and re-rigged and by the end of the day 22 flounder but no keepers. A few 16 inches but it was a fun day on the water.
Took the yak out behind SH this weekend and did pretty well.
Friday- 19 1/2 inch Flounder (1st of the year)
4 blues ranging from 1-4 lbs, with a million more busting on the surface.
Friday evening- 2 short stripes missed about 4 more on poppers
Saturday evening- popper got slammed on the first cast, but missed the fish. 1/2 hour later hooked into a nice, fat 31 1/2, incher which preceeded to pull me in circles for 5 minutes or so before I landed him.
missed about 4 more, all being large fish.
Nada on Sunday.
BUGS were SOOOOO bad on Saturday, it looks like I have poison ivy all over my arms. DONT FORGET THE BUG SPRAY!!!

"I hear those sliegh bells ringing ...Oh yes it's lovely weather for a sliegh ride together with you!"
Too windy for plugs tonight.... then I lost a nice fish on a zoom... fought for about 10 mins... then she went deep..and the line cut on the rocks..
hit 9 keeper flatties with over 20 throwbacks behind SIC Sat hour before slack tide. Sunday we were late and only caught 6 throwbacks on the Weight Limit. First flattie catch of the year. Temp changed from 74 to 62 in an hour.
Too windy to jig tonight so I threw plugs. Got one of those sickly looking Ocean City bass 32". This is the first one I have gotten this year that wasn't healthy. I hope I don't see any more. I also picked up a healthy 8.5# weakie, I hope I see more of these.
went out with brother ellball last night and plowed through many large sandsharks to get 2 nice stripers. blood and beer on a pitching deck ....fun fun fun,
CaptKirk,
Were you in the same place that we met a couple of weeks ago? May try to get together for a yak trip in the next couple of weeks. Shoot me an e-mail when you are ready. Keith the bagman
We were out and about last nite ,, soak-n-wet , the judge and a friend,, yakking behind oc,, pretty windy,, no fish ,, saw two nice stripers chasing bait on a bar,, hit one in the head with a lure ,, that ended that chance ,, soak-n-wet saw an osprey nail a pretty good flounder,, but it got released, osprey probably was a friend of HIPS :D
Got out for about an hour tonight... Fished the OC area.... caught & released two... 24" and 26" on a zoom...

Who had the really bright halogen light on the beach?

Humid...skeeters...
Fished the sod banks last night - water was like glass, skeeters were everywhere. First fish of the night was a 33" Weakie - the largest I've ever caught. She inhaled a black 4" redfin on the incoming tide. The rest of the night was short bass (landed 5), one slot bass, and retarded slot bass that kept smackin' the lure but couldn't hook up - that happened at least 10 times.
Fished behind Strathmere today, 5 shorts and one 23", four pounder. Man I worked for that fish! Water temp 62, burrrrr! Fished 3 hours before top of the tide and 1 past. Got keeper at sack water jigging shad dart with mack strip.
Opps! That's slack water. Milller time strikes again!
Went out last night boated 15 bass. 1-33" 1-32" 1-31" 5-28" 1-271/2" 7-other slot fish. All trolling all incomeing tide. Bite was on for 1 hour. lost aprox. 6 others.

behind Ocean City
