Feel Free To Post Your Fishing Reports from
our Surrounding South Jersey Inlets,BackBays & Bridges....
By Boat or By Land- It's All Good....
Striped Bass,Weakfish & Bluefish etc...
As Much or As Little Information as you like
Even Skunk Reports are Ok...
BUT PLEASE NO EXACT SPOTS ;) ,,,Thanks NS

-------------------------------------------------

Nothing to show for me over the holiday weekend.
I did hit the surf a few times over on IBSP & LBI
with out any success tossing bait or plugging...
I'm about done with that scene until the fall, now its time to fish the dog days of summer in the backbays at night and to do a little exploring in the kayak...

Everyone have a great fishing week,
Catch'Em Up..

Nice to know you are mortal too, Steve.

Yup, after reading Willies' and your post looks like DD's for sure

Night-time plugging with your favorite, a black purple bomber. The only thing I don't miss is getting scared out of my waders when they hit ya at your feet :D

See ya in Sept, I am booked

Went out again last night with Casting disaster
from 10-12. Not the most ideal conditions, but
we still found some decent bass. We ended up
with a few shorts, 3 nice slots, and another 28".
Middle of the outgoing...all on the bp bomber.
They've been real aggressive in back this week

Dr. Bass...I know what your saying about getting
scared out of your waders! It happened to me
twice last night  :D

I just got a digital camera and wanted to see if
I figured it out. This picture's from Sat. night.
It was very buggy, so don't make fun of the head-dress ;)

Got down the shore a little earlier last night around 6pm so i decided to do a little fluke fishing before it got dark, i had no bait so i was bouncing a jig off the bottom and on the second cast i caught my bait, a 2 lb bluefish i stripped him out and in the next hour, i caught and released several short fluke, the tide slacked up so i made the move to my weaky hotspot of late, as soon as the tide turned and started out i had a bluefish, and that was it for me for the rest of the night, at around 9:30pm i was joined by Fishenough from the barn, and for 3 hours we worked this spot real hard, and Fishenough was rewarded for his efforts with a beautiful Bass around 38Inches and 18 to 20 lbs, the fish fought like a 40 lb fish with the strong moon tide, and the lite tackle that he was using, Great job landing that beautiful bass Nick you earned it!

Thanks Jim. I weighed it this morning on my digital scale and it topped out at 19 lbs 1oz. It measure out at 38 1/2 in. What a fight!!!. I'm still pumped. I didn't get any weakies, but this made up for it. By the way the stomach content was EMPTY. This was a hungry fish. The weather this week is not looking to good on Friday. I'm aiming for Saturday or Sunday. I'll post some pics tomorrow. I'm trying to figure out how to upload. Thanks again Iggy. I think
I got this to post my pic

went out early this morning boated 1-36" bass on live herring. Pulled her out right in front of a bunch of guys fishing plugs from a jetty. The BIG bass were holding right under the herring till the boats raced thru for the beginning of another crazy weekend.

Walked some banks behind O.C. last night with
Casting disaster. We fished the top of the tide
and had steady action from 10:30-12:30...4 shorts
and 5 slots to 27". A couple of them came clear
up out of the water after the bomber.

Here's Rich hooked up:

This one was only 22", but it totally inhaled the plug:

We're probably heading back out in a couple hours :D

Nice fish earlybird (and fishenough!), it looks like a ghost in that first pic, just above the white thing sticking out of the sod
Do you ever do anything with poppers at night?

Thanks. There were a couple other guys with us,
so that's what you're seeing in the background.

I used to use poppers at night, and did okay.
The swimming plugs tend to work better for me.

...The fishing slowed tonight. Just got back in
and only got a couple shorts. Had to wait out a
nasty thunderstorm...

Same here. Not much going on. I fished the start of the outgoing had one hit with no hook up. A handful of guys were out there, but not a person caught anything. Earlybird, I think that storm messed up the bite.

Haven't caught anything in a bit, but have been seeing some little bass around... Couple of friends have said they have been doing well.. I heard story of a very large drum fish caught but not landed behind 7mile island?
