Hi Bill, as Creek Duck said you do not need a license South of the Commadore Barry Bridge so you'll be OK for the DOD without one.

i think you guys are wrong in the pennsy regs booklet it says pennsy/new jersey fishing on either side of the delaware river on land or in a boat you must possess either a jersey or pennsy fishing license, does not mention north or south of cbb, it says delaware river between pennsy and jersey( that would include south of cbb

according to the fish and game commission, which i called today, you need a license to fish on the delaware river no matter where you are, north or south of the cbb. as long as the body of water travels through the state of pennsylvania, and is governed by fish and game then a license is needed. fines are now 300.00 plus confiscation of your vechicle.

call for yourself the number is (717)705-7800

heavy, if you dont need it on the jersey side then i guess your boat must be jersey registered or you must be on jersey land, i am from pennsy, and my boat is pennsy registered so i must abide by pennsy rules which state you must carry a license to fish the del river along pennsy boundries...which include all waterways on the pennsy side from trenton to delaware

heavy, looks like we were both right about the license, i checked nj today and found this :
"When fishing upstream from the Commodore Barry Bridge, valid New Jersey or Pennsylvania fishing licenses are recognized on both shorelines, and anglers may launch from either shore." so you guys were right about south of cbb, for jersey residents, i was right about pennsy residents, this is a weird law they are enforcing different laws on the same body of water depending on where you reside...
