WERE GOING TO FISH PINE ISLAND IN MAY. WODERING IF ANYONE HAS FISHED THAT AREA AND WHAT LUCK HAS DRAWN.GOING TO HAVE CAT. FRANK VOLLMAR AS A GUIDE OUTTA FISHMASTER CHARTERS. LOOKING FOR:confused: TARPON/ SNOOK OR SOME REDS.

Well good luck it's a way of life for many fla fisherman. I have heard that the cold waters, due to 'climate change:rolleyes:' have resulted in a major fishkill and fla is talking that major restrictions which might be needed.

awesome piece of water

You will find lots of fish, and it will not be cold in May. Many places to fish from shore, and if you can get your hands on a kayak do it. If you are going with a guide you are set, and the guides down there were pretty free with the info. I asked my guide if he minded if I jumped his spot the next day on my own, and he was nice enough to say no problem, and even turned me on to other flats with specifics. Unlike the keys, the bottom is hard enough to wade on.
Its a great place, have fun and catch em up

There was a cold front that moved threw and there was a fish killed alotta snook from what i heard. But the tarpon and red fish should be on fire by May this could be a dream but it could be well lets just say were going to our best to be succesful. new moon 14th should be on if not i have 5 more days to find them.:thumbsup:
