Stemples Tackle shop just north of the Conowingo Dam on Rte. 1 no longer issues fishing licenses. I stopped there today to get one and was unable to do so. They directed me to Cliff Liquors which is about 1 mile south of the dam on Rte. 1 (short hop from Stemples) where I was able to purchase it. Problem is, Cliff's doesn't open until 8:00 am which is 1 1/2 hrs. after the gate opens at the dam if you plan on shad fishing.
Cliff's number is 410-457-5254. Probably can get one on the web but I haven't check yet.

BTW, no one fishing the dam or Deer Creek. Hickorys should start in about 2 weeks.

It seems like you can get the application on-line but you still have to mail it in to get the license. Who knows how long it will take?

I usually send for my Bay sport license and I have it within a week.
