I was told today by employees of the plant that in aprox 2 weeks the plant will cease generating power for scheduled maintinance and will not resume untill sometime in the summer.
This will shut down any warm water discharge into the river thus eliminating any fishery that relys on the warmer water.
This will hinder the efforts of the shore bound anglers fishing for shad and herring.
The good news , if you want to call it that, is that by then the main river temps should rise to the point that fishing the power plant cove realy isn't necessary. If you have a boat that is.
