Hey guys!
Today, we had a couple of open boat groups aboard. Our morning open boat had two late night cancellations last night, so we headed out with Chris, Tommy, and Joe C. aboard. We fished the Cape May rips in clean 51 degree water, and had steady fishing through the flood tide. We ended the morning trip about 11am after boating THIRTY-FIVE stripers to 33". We had our limit of slot fish, but couldn't come up with anything over the 34" mark. We had lots of "tweeners", plenty of slots, and some little guys, as well.
In the afternoon, we had another open boat group aboard with Scott, Bill, Rich, and Mark. The fishing was slower than it's been, but the action was steady. We had more smaller fish on this afternoon's outgoing. Our four anglers boated their slot fish, and had lots of smaller bass along with a couple "tweeners" in the 29" to 31" range. The guys ended the evening boating TWENTY-THREE stripers to 31", as well as having a bunch of other bites.
Looking forward to tomorrow!
