So I'm having the new boat delivered in June. I don't want to bottom paint it, and the permits for my lift are hung up at the DEP.

Talked with a guy last night in Navesink who leaves his boat in the water with no bottom paint. He has a diver come and scrub the bottom once a week to keep it clean.

Anybody know anyone who provides this service in the Great Bay area?

Wouldn't that get costly? How about storing it on the trailer until the lift is installed?

When I lived in California about 20 years ago, they had bottom scrubber set up like a car wash. Giant horizontal brushes just under the water. 2 bucks and they pulled your boat through the rotating scrubbers. A very cool Idea.
