I was a greatbay guy for 6 years and now I am in wilmington NC. The boat is still docked in Tuckerton and I will be fishing the seashell tourney this weekend.Cya out there
I try with out much sucess. I fished Saturday and Sunday in the A.M. No luck. Went again late this afternoon. No luck. Will be there tomorrow afternoon. Tomorrow is the day.
2nd year at Rand's. I was out Sunday morning. I never saw the water so high. Rand's parking lot was greatbay. I'll be fishing this weekend. Anybody have any luck with using Spot? I have been getting most of my bass on eels.
Also out of Rands , I heard the bottom of the inlet in front of the old coast guard station was hot. I tried to get out Sunday morning, had to wait for the flood to go down, then couldn't get the boat started.
Me and Dad ran his boat from bass river up to cavileer to have it pulled and stored for the winter. There was no wind and the sun was shining. Two boats were fishing the banks between bass river and chestnut neck and damned if one of them didn't net a nice striper as we cruised by.We had to get her up there during high, cause there ain't much water at cavileer and man was it high. They were playing with a couple 50 footers and never got a chance to pull us out anyway. This is for the way me and Dad felt. And this is for the guy who caught the striper.
Tried to fish the Inlet on Friday-pretty windy-drift super fast. Went up the Mullica and tried everything we could-no success. Pulling the boat this weekend. Good luck to all still out there.
What's up Johnny D, are you gonna be out this weekend?I am fishing Friday Saturday and Sunday only to make the 9 hour trip back down to NC Sunday night.I kinda miss fall bass fishing.Gimme a holler when you get out. Cya
Fish Hawk, I do fish this area, from the Mullica River out thru the LE inlet.I will be drifting eels in the inlet on sat.and also trolling the red tower area,I have a 30ft yellow searay ,Elizebeth-Ann.See you out there !
Regards Steve
Steve,
That's pretty much the same range I cover. It turns out I can get out tommorrow but the weekend isn't good. I'll post something if I catch anything worth posting about. A yellow 30' Searay shouldn't be hard to spot. I'll keep an eye out for it. I have a 20' Proline W/A with a hard top. Good luck on Sat.
FlukeNewsty,
How you doing? How is NC? I was looking to do a trip to the outerbanks this winter for Tuna. I will be out this saturday morning before first light. I'll be on channel 9.
