Have'nt fished the inlet but south side of the bay has been good. Last trip had only one keeper and some blues on clam though. Sounds like you managed to avoid the choppers were you anchored or drifting? When you say sod banks I'm thinking north side of the bay maybe near the old factory am I in the general area? Last week was awesome with all nice sized Bass and some Drum all fish being taken on the hook with chumming and baiting with clam. Inlet should be good any time now with eels if you don't mind fishing in the witching hours or before the rooster crows. I love Great Bay!

Crojo if your'e responding to Nacote Man I fish from a 17ft. center console Key West with a 90hp. Evinrude Ocean Pro. I was a little cautious about returning to the south side of the bay tommorow and fishing that famous channel near the inlet because I ran into some blues there on Thursday and I know it's just a matter of time before the dogfish move in there if they haven't already. But I guess the only way to know is to try it. I was kind of curious about fishing some sod banks on the other side of the bay tommorow maybe in the area of the fish factory. I know this is a good location for stripers, but haven't really pinpointed an exact spot. Without getting too exact do you have an opinion on this area for chumming with clam, was also thinking about drifting some eel in the inlet early morning on the top of the incoming tide.

what's up Brett, good to hear your catching already. We have had awesome action here on the reds, trout to 10# and Albies blitzing in schools off the beach. Still not Tuckerton fishing though.I really miss it and Krista is convincing me to come home. Have you tried the poppers? do they work, action wise? I have a few spooks as well that have had hits on but no hook ups. If nothing else throw them at the blues.
