Had to put my best friend down this morning:(

Well as all us dog lovers know sooner or later we have to part with our best friend.
I had to have my Lab put down this morning due to cancer. This is probably one of the worse decisions a man or woman has to make. Then you have to bury them after that. Sad day here for sure. She use to go fishing with me hunt with me and sleep next to my bed for 14 years. My kids enjoyed her for all 6 years of there lives. Hopefully they will understand when they come home from school today.

When they say "Mans Best Friend" they are telling you the truth...

Sorry to hear that Roger. I am amazed on how many cases of K9 cancer I am hearing of lately. I wonder if there are any studies to show this & why?

There are vet clinical trials going on all the time. My company has worked on a few. Obviously they don't get the time or funding that human trials do. Sorry for your loss. We've been through it and it sucks the big one.

Sorry to hear that! Have had all labs for the last 17 yrs...they are wonderful dogs...very sad when they leave us! She is in a good place..remember all the good times, they will last forever! Take care

Sorry to hear that. Always a tough decision. My first dog that I had to put to sleep did a very good job of letting us know that it was time. Very sad.

Roger...........Sorry to hear that news. A very hard day but when the time comes, our pets deserve not to have to suffer with incurable problems. My condolences.

really sorry to hear of your loss.i had a dog of mine stolen and it broke my heart.just got a new puppy"springer spaniel"great dog.but i know someday i will go throught what you have,again very sorry ,matt

Sorry to hear that. I have a Lab myself who fishes and hunts with me. He's 11 now, and that is not something you ever want to have to deal with. Labs are like your children, at least He is to me. Deepest sympathies to you and your kids.
