We have the same Bs here in NJ. Many of the beaches on the DE bay are closed for a few months during the year completely... can't even walk on them!! All so we don't disturb the birds on their anual migration routes. It harldy gets any attention, because it's not the main beaches along the Jersey Shore.
This all started many years ago in Cape Cod. Now it has filtered down the coast. I live and fish on Long Beach Island N.J. Our clubs fought for years to stop the closings but to no avail. They will do what they want. Our beaches are closed from April to August. If the birds are endangered, you loose. I have friends who purchesed homes there to retire to so they can fish, only to find the beaches are now closing. Now they are trying to sell and get out. I hope your efforts help but its going to be tought.
The words, (Take A Child Fishing) are great but were!!!
