Hooks & method for grass shrimp

Can anyone help me with an effective method and hook size to use with grass shrimp. I netted several two nights ago. They were about 1 1/2" to 2" long. I believe the bass and blues were dining on them because they had no interest in anything else we threw at them! The shrimp were being taken from the surface. Thanks in advance.
