when ever i go crabbing especially at night when i put a bright lamp over the water i seem to attract tons of shrimp,, decent sized ones at that,,, what kinds of these back water shrimps can be trapped and eatten? if any,,,,i guess a minnow trap could be used for shrimp in smaller quantities,,,,or maybe a net,,, any advice? i like to stay in the no wake spots between the docks and the open water,,, i also try my best to set up so im not in anybodys way,, table shrimp or just bait shrimps?

I'm sure you could eat sand shrimp, if you can catch enough of them. They get to like 3" or so. Grass shrimp, forget it. Too small, not enough meat, too tough to clean.

A shrimp's a shrimp, I'm sure they all taste the same in cocktail sauce...
