I am trying to get an idea how many fish are actually kept by people a season.

I checked my log and out of 26 days on the water, I kept 46 fish from March until December. That includes 6 bluefin, 4 fluke, 10 striped bass and the rest seabass.

Maybe I can set up a poll....

In 2009, on my boat, 2 anglers on most trips, this is what we kept. Every fish was either eaten, given away to someone that would eat it, or is in my freezer. Most of the blues were used for bait.

45 Tog
10 Fluke
68 Sea Bass
22 Blues
31 Trigger
6 Porgy
1 Pout
83 Stripers (probably 70 given away, 43 keepers released)

I bet you're right. But when it gets to the point that we can't even talk about keeping fish for dinner anymore, then I give up.

I only picked 0-20 because we only got to go out about 10 times...that is the shittiest part of it hahahah but we did manage a nice 42" 30#er!!!!

We were out 71 days. So it really only averaged about 3 fish kept per trip.

10 flatties
6 barrelfish
3 bluefish for baits
2 searobbin for baits

about 300 fish of all species released after pics, many of which were legal keepers. Mom always said not to waste food.

Thats about what went home. After the last batch of Striper Cakes last week nothing but a few Tog fillets left in the refer

AFK is a little slow this time of the year.....E-A-G-L-E-S are not on TV....boat is in the drive way and his wife has him on restriction because of the way he acted during some fishing trip:huh: I heard that all she keeps saying is...."I'll show you the 10 Of Spades" !!!:fighting:

6-8 Kingfish (released a southern kingfish)
couple bushels of crabs
lots of baitfish thanks to my wife the netfisherwoman...hahaha
