Nice work with the perch if you really want to have fun with those rods use them during the summer they work awesome on local creeks I wade where casting distance is not of the utmost importance I have caught some big smallies on mine.:thumbsup:Here is a small one I caught on it.

real nice perch! I hit the ice hard for a couple weeks earlier in january, but took a couple weeks off due to the weather, thought all the ice would be shot for the winter, but we got some good temps the past few days. gonna go on tuesday, will be looking for perch like that, along with a slab crappie or 2. feel like indulging on the body of water you were on? if not its cool.

I fished there a couple times late last winter, very last ice.. actually fell through a little bit getting off the ice the last day I fished there. Seems like an awesome lake, big without pressure from boats during the openwater season. I caught a handfull of crappies there last year, a couple dink perch and dink gills. from what Ive heard this year the crappie bite has been dismal. Did you stick around til dusk when you were out? nobody gettin into the crappies?

Only caught one and lost another out of the 4 times i fished it. Butt... they could pick up anyday u no how it is. Them Crappazoids are finicky.:D Thats why i love them.

PC is an alright place to fish...except for the zoo that flocks there. Stay there for the magic hour right before dark. The flurry of crappies that comes through could be nice. A few 13-16inch slabs that you can ice in that hour can make any ice fishermans day.

Ill be hitting the ice in PA on fri...just a little south of reading though. Sucks moving to NJ and trying to get on the ice

Hopefully they will be on with the storm coming in later in the day:thumbsup:

I was out on PC (peters) yesterday. good action, though everything was small... everyone was catching dink perch to about 8", some dinky gills (5") and some dinky crappies. I ended the day with a dozen perch, 6 or 7 gills, 3 crappie and a 14" bass.. everything except the bass was small, though you always hear about the slabs at dusk. total zoo out there... unployment is big in the area. sucks too that everything is kept, from bass to dink perch to dink crappies.

Yeah PC =Peters Creek.... Always a small panfish bite there. Buy your waxies in bulk lol. It sickens me when you see guys especially foreigners just throwing 6-7 inch crappies on the ice. Why? No meat? Anyways as long as they keep boats off the lake there should always be a decent amount of quality fish to be had.

Ill be hitting Marsh Creek on Friday. First and prob only time ill get out this year...foot of snow isn't goign to let that ice grow i don't think
