Looks like we are finally getting a dose of winter down here in Central Florida. Cold front has been over us now for about 3 days and plans to stay a bit longer. North and NE winds churned up the offshore swells to 9-12 feet yesterday
Snookmaster and I launched before daybreak then made a good attempt to anchor up in the inlet, current just was too strong.
Not to be denied we headed South towards the lagoon. Stopped off at a bridge to try out luck for some Black Drum.
1 hour into it Snookmaster pulls in a 5 pound Sheepshead, a real hook-bender
He had the high hook all day but that was it for us as far as groceries go.
Snookmaster also caught 2 of the biggest Mother-In-LAw fish I have ever seen along with a fat cat
All I caught yesterday was an over-sized pinfish
We will be out later this week for a night trip and hopefully an offshore trip next weekend
