Fished for flounder in Shark River and Manasquan Inlet on 4/9. NOT A BITE. The bite seemed to turn off fished outgoing, incoming, bloodworms, clams, gulp bloodworms. Cat food chum and corn, ritual dances, voo doo dolls. NOTHING. Watched a head boat come in and 30 guys got off and I heard there was ONE KEEPER on the whole boat.

Went out yesterday and broke the bass slump for this spring.Started out throwing plugs before day break with no takers, wind was blowing like crazy moved on to the next spot and switched to clam same results. Began to worry the trip was going to be a carbon copy of the last three. On to the next spot and finally 5 bass to 34 inches. The final count was 1-24in. 3-27in. 1-34in. Missed a couple more but all in all a fun trip. Fishing 20lb. flouro. with red in line circle hooks. Water temp 46.5-47.2 outgoing tide.

Thanks Jim, Jeff took a pic:

By the way, this 13 lber would have been swallowed by a 35 lber another buddy of mine nailed this morning in Brig. I was 50 yards from him and watched him do battle. Beautiful fish, I was pumped for him.

I'll see you next Friday at the golf outing. Jeff, I'll give you a call and we will hook up again soon.
