Based on all the requests to run another trip, We have put together another guided expedition to Panama for this April as it is prime tuna season and I was able to book the lodge during an excellent moon phase. This is the same time of the year as the first trip to Panama with Kil in April of 2009.

We ran a very successful trip to Panama this past December, it was our third trip in country in less than a year (http://www.360tuna.com/forum/f76/tacklenow-com-guided-expedition-panama-7888/) and want to get back there ASAP.

We have 3 Anglers signed up with money on the table - two of whom are cert. divers - so we are planning a dive option on day three at the lodge (Wed) this will be a nice way to break up the fishing and dive the waters close to the world park in Cohiba Island. If you don't SCUBA but want to free dive that is fine but no spear fishing is allowed.

We have reserved the 2 35ft ers and the 29 Stamas for this trip (Captains Macho, Sergio and Ralpilito)

This trip takes you to pristine and unspoiled destinations where you will really have the chance for a fish of the lifetime. It’s not a claque; we regularly and consistently put our customers “on the fish”. This will be our FOURTH trip to Panama in 12 months.

For these new to Popping / Jigging we are here before, during and after the trip to lend assistance with tackles, leaders, knots, rigging, lure selection, etc.

The Lodge has an impressive array of tackle and its all new or newer - there is no need to bring tackle - just our own lures and of course if you have rods bring them.

We know where to go in Panama to have a good time and keep the group safe, myself and my partner speak enough Spanish to avoid the vig and tourist traps. Further we have a fantastic relationship with the owners at Hotel Venento and Panama Sportfishing Lodge. You'll be treated like a king - the service is really good, fishing outstanding and the price is reasonable.

Another option which I encourage, is to get all the rods over to either my place say 2 weeks prior to the trip, so April 1 I will then DHL the tube down direct to the hotel. They will be insured!

I might make it two in a row ;)
Got another thing blasted off of my lip yesterday, let me see how I heal up. I know it will be very warm down there in April so I have to talk to the doctor next visit.
I hope it goes well, I stopped in to get an appt at mine as I have a funny looking one on my chin - first appt 2 months out! Should have gone to med school

I think u can take it in April I would not recommend it after that. Lots of Gator aid is the key not too much drinking at night during fishing days... You can always first two days, free dive on Wednesday and then fish Thursday / Friday to break up the long days of casting  That's my plan anyway

I Shall Return

I have decided to join your expedition to Panama this coming April. I was there last September, but could only fish one day and was pleasantly surprised. No billfish or giant tuna, but the cuberra snapper was no slouch. Dan, left you an e-mail for further processing. Aloha.

Sounds good Dwight! - more than happy to have you along! With 5 full days to fish we should get plenty of action both inshore and offshore. The Cubera's are on the list for sure, but I'm aiming to tangle with some Tuna and if Marlin are there that's fine too. Lets touch base over the weekend

Here is the information on the flight I recommend if you can take a half day on Friday

Here are the details for those traveling from the NE
These are non stop, direct flights

Continental #CO887 5:25PM Newark to Panama City Friday April 16th
Returning, its kind of early - but its the only direct flight that day, and trust me you do not want to connect in Miami after coming from Panama.
#CO886 10:00AM PTY to Newark Sunday April 25th
