Hey Guys,
Leaving 2-10 to 2-15 with my brother. Can't afford a guide this trip but I was wondering if anyone that may be going down would want to split a charter? We probably will go on a couple of headboats and rent a a little skiff for the back.

If you know of a good head boat in the area of Key Kargo or Islamorada please let me know. For that matter, anys uggestions on boat rentals, restaurants etc are welcome.

Did the Florida freeze hurt the back country badly?

Miss Tradewinds was a good head boat last time I was in Islamorada. Good luck...very fun area.

Bud and Mary's have a good head boat, caught some nice snapper and grouper. The mate was a little ornery but did a great job. Everyone got a turn off the back of the boat and I hooked something that acted like it didn't know I was there and probably would have spooled me if I didn't palm the reel. Good restaurant was Tugboats. We went snorkeling at Penneycamp on the catamaran and had a blast. Some down there are running open boats so you may want to look into that option also, just make sure you know who owns the fish before you go, I got a big surprise at the dock after spending 1500 on a charter and the captain claimed 1/2 of the catch and then wanted a good review.
