Puppy drums mixed with some speckled trouts are all over the south beach from the point to the inlet. Frisco pier and ramp 55 area are the best areas to fish with grubs. If you don't like the crowds, try anywhere else. Reports of puppies in every hole.

Been watching the B&T sites for the last couple weeks and it looks like it has turned on down there this week. Catching good size fish and some trout mixed in.
Water must be cold on top only. SS temps look to be pretty cold but I guess good temps below plus lots of bait still holding.
Sounds like some decent stripers a little offshore from beach also.

With the cold temps, the sound must have been cleared. They are just laying in the slough's along the beach.

Yep seen a couple reporst on another site and they are on fire right now. Some reports are saying every cast or everyother cast. Wish I was there right now. I heard bait and lures are both working.:thumbsup:

Last week a local fisherman showed me a picture of hundreds of big redfish in a ball that look as thick as a bunker school just off the beach at Cape Lookout. It was impressive to say the least. Those guys flat wore those fish out until they did't have the strength to crank in another one.
