Anything On Drum?
May 5th was the first day I caught Drum last year. Two fish 20 to 30 lbs.
Then steadily caught a couple a day until May 18th when they really turned on for us. Then the trips were 10 to 20 fish a trip until I stopped fishing for them on June 2nd. 145 +/- drum in all over the rail. Never took a Skunk:eek:. Then switched to Ocean side, Sharks for the Tourneys.

BigSexy, I didn't record as much info as you but here's what I have:
We caught our first stripers a day earlier on Monday, March 26th.
Delaware Bay, Plugging
Cloudy, breezy, 50 degrees didn't record water temp.
Caught on the ebb
26 bass only 1 keeper, 28.5"

We were pleasantly surprised with the results on the first trip. Went back on the 30th almost same conditions but warmer. Only caught 3 fish but 2 keepers, on clams, go figure.
Hoping mother mature will be a little nicer to us and turn off the fan.

What do you mean by pluggin, throwing rappalas, storms etc., top, deep shallows. I'm remember last year you mentioning 20' of water:confused: Like I mentioned before last year was my first and I did not get a striper

Did you primarily fish the NJ or DE side of the bay (drum in particular)

Of course, this will just fuel the war of which side is better :D

I'm neutral because I'm from the Republic of NJ originally so I can go on both sides;)

with the new license requirements, I suspect more NJ anglers will be staying on their side of the invisible line.

May mean more fish left for us on the dark side :D

I think all the reefs are on the dark side, 4,5,6,7,8 are.

Everyone knows the best drum come from our side.. ;)

In my opinion the whole bay belongs to DE, and NJ. We should both have the same regulations.
