Could anyone point me in a direction to where I could cast net/snag hook some shad or herring? I dont think this would constitute a spot burn. Im just looking to start stocking up for the big time spring run. Ive had some good luck over at the salem canal but its hit or miss.

south jersery, i live in mullica hill nj. i generally fish the areas from long port to the north end of brig. i some times take the ride and fish LBI. Ill take a 45min to hr ride for a decent cooler of bait.

i do most of my surffishing in brig im about a half hr from there i got a couple good spots for netting herring do you have a herring basket or just a throw net i will email you to give you info i dont mind helping people out i rarely run into anyone at these spots anyway
