Just wondering if anybody has heard about the status of Mackerel fishing? If any Thanks.

Give it a few weeks, Probably 3 weeks if they don't pass to far offshore. Just keep checking in and you'll hear when they are in the neighborhood.

I grew up in West Goshen by the way, great place to grow up.

in your experience, what is the closest you have gotten into the schools of mackerel?

should hear something in a week or two

I know on good years they've been as close as 5 miles from the bell. I think usually 10-15 miles is norm but it can vary depending on water temps and conditions.
