Do any of you guys have experience with Crescent Lake or fishing in the Casco area? I have a chance to spend the summer up there and want to know what I'm getting into.

There's a great guide I've gone with a couple times now named Doug LePage. He runs BronzebackAdventures.com and does guide trips all over Maine. I'm not familiar with the lake you mentioned but I did stay in the Casco region this past spring. The smallies were on fire not too far away in Lewiston, ME.

I have never fished ME, hunted it a fair amount. Where you are going is a prime area for vacationers. Lots of inland water, and you are just above the Saco river which is a striper spawning ground. I would not miss the opportunity to do some striper fishing. My only complaint with ME is the bugs will carry you away. Just bring, or buy bug repellent. The seafood is second to none, and you can keep your wallet empty between Kittery Trading post in Kittery and LL bean in Freeport.

Have Fun!
